Introduction
The Ely & District Archaeological Society (EDAS) was founded in 1980. The object of the Society is 'to advance the education of the public in their study of archaeology, history and kindred subjects'. EDAS promotes this via:
  • A programme of lectures between October and May
  • Visits to sites of archaeological or historical interest
  • Collecting and disseminating information about archaeology and history of the local area

  • Programme of Events
    Meetings are held on the third Monday in the month. The lectures deal mainly with local and regional archaeology or history, and include presentation of recent discoveries. see more...

    EDAS is affiliated to the Cambridge Antiquarian Society. This enables members to attend the annual Cambridge Antiquarian Society Day Conference at a reduced rate. read more...
