About us

EDAS is affiliated to the Cambridge Antiquarian Society. This enables members to attend the annual Cambridge Antiquarian Society Day Conference at a reduced rate, provides information about the wider archaeological scene including a copy of the annual Proceedings of the Cambridge Antiquarian Society, and occasional grants for archaeological projects.

The Society also runs archaeological projects. The Stone Walls Project involved identifying, measuring and photographing stone walls in Ely, and presenting the findings in reports for more general use. This project is now completed. Copies of the report are available to download here.Report link

The AHK Bursary

The AHK Bursary is named after Anne Holton-Krayenbuhl who was a distinguished scholar and a founding member of the Ely & District Archaeological Society. Upon her death in 2015 a memorial fund was set up by her family members and others.

The fund exists to make financial contributions to students of archaeology who are based in the Ely area towards the cost of undertaking archaeological investigations within the United Kingdom.
